After-School Lead Teacher

Pre-k through 5th Grade

Located just minutes from Microsoft in Kirkland, Les Lilas French Bilingual Community School welcomes children from the age of Pre-K to 5th on a campus filled with inspiring child-centered learning spaces.

Job Description

The After-Care Lead Teacher will be responsible for the care and support of our Dawn-to-Dusk and after-school care students. Teachers accompany children to various activities such as drama ,French, Music, Art, and outdoor activities. Teachers will also help the children with managing Homework through unique hands-on activities. The position is part-time and runs from 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday Fluency in English is required, French-speaking is a plus. Please let us know your availability for an interview. Part-time, 3pm to 6pm and special events.

  • Strong writing and speaking skills in English, french speaking is a plus
  • Candidate must have significant experience (at least 3 years) with children aged 3-10.
  • Passion for providing the best education to all children.
  • Interest in the Montessori method of teaching (experience preferred).
  • Experience working in multicultural settings and be able to adjust your teaching style to the needs of the children.
  • Focus on the children, provide a warm and caring environment.
  • Strong communication skills to make yourself heard, adapt to your audience, and express yourself with ease.
  • Enjoy working in a team and collaborating with your colleagues on curriculum development and sharing best teaching practices.
  • Motivated, open-minded, dynamic and creative, but also rigorous, patient and organized.
  • Prepared to participate in the development of curriculum and activities
  • First Aid Certification or willing to obtain certification before your hire date.
