My name is Virginie Harroch and I am originally from the French Alps.
I moved to the United States ten years ago.
After graduating with a Masters Degree in Mathematics, I completed my Teacher Certification training in Paris. Having worked in French education for the past 15 years, first as a Math Teacher in Paris, then as a French Kindergarten Teacher at FISW in Bellevue and Pedagogical Coordinator at EFG Seattle; I am very attached to the well-structured French curriculum.
Working with kids from different cultures, languages and nationalities, taught me to understand how important it is to adjust my teaching methods to every child's needs.
I discovered and fell in love with Maria Montessori's pedagogy when my kids joined Chestnut Montessori in Bellevue. Moving forward with my journey as an educator, I completed the Montessori Certification training by the NAMC (North America Montessori Center).
To share my passion and knowledge with children is my lifelong dream and opening Les Lilas, a Kirkland School combining Montessori pedagogy with the French Curriculum, “a place where beautiful minds grow” is my dream becoming fulfilled.
My name is Jacqueline Kahn-Hudry. Originally from Texas, I happily call Washington State my home. I love the Northwest!

Co-founding Les Lilas was yet a new opportunity to invest my drive and experience in giving back to others. Virginie and I bring the ideal complementary skills and passions for making a difference in children's lives. Giving to our community and helping with the education of children is truly rewarding. Our school is built from the heart, which we offer to each and every one of our students. They are amazing and we are blessed to build and grow Les Lilas with their success!

Aiylnn Knox-Collins has been a Montessori teacher for 25 years. She began working as an assistant in her daughter's Montessori school in Singapore. Upon seeing the classroom, she realized that the materials looked familiar -- only to discover afterwards that she had attended Montessori as a child in London as well.
Later, she opened her own school with a partner, running a small Montessori preschool for 12 years in Singapore. After moving to the USA, she joined the Sammamish Montessori School in Redmond, and taught preschool/K for 9 years. She then took her Lower Elementary training and taught 1st to 3rd grade for another 4 years.
She received her 0-6 year-old training with Montessori St.Nicholas in London, and her 6-9 year-old training from MEIPN in Woodinville, WA. She also holds a Law Degree, and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. She has published a series of Science Fiction books for 9-12-year-olds and continues to write for children.

I grew up in Paris, second in a family of 5, moved to Marseille when I was 20 to join l'Ecole Centrale de Marseille to study engineering and then back to Paris for a PhD in computer vision at Telecom ParisTech with the French National Space Agency. I then worked at a startup in Paris and finally joined Amazon in Seattle as a software developer and then research Engineer. I decided to step out of the corporate world for now to focus on what feels more meaningful to me. And how meaningful it is to contribute to the education of future generations!
I am honored and thrilled to join Les Lilas! In my free time, I like to draw, paint, cook, meditate, bike, juggle, woodwork, garden, backpack and climb mountains.

I was born and raised in France, and have had the good fortunate to live in the Seattle area for the past 15 years. I am a caring instructor with 20 years' experience teaching music. I started playing guitar 30+ years ago, and have a passion for many genres of music. My study at the University Francois Rabelais not only gave me a background in music history, choir conducting, classical harmony and music theory, but it also opened my ears to many kinds of music from around the world. I also studied many styles of guitar and jazz harmony at Jazz à Tours. My experiences have given me great tools to teach music and create music ensembles. I have learned to adapt and improvise my ways of teaching per my audience. I am fair and very demanding, as a great work leads to great music.
Born and raised in France, I have spent the last twenty years in beautiful Seattle. I studied "art appliqué" in high school and my love for art resurfaced several years ago and took over my spare time.
During the summer of 2016 I decided to leave the corporate world and concentrate on what I love: ART, FRENCH and KIDS, which brought me to create "Life Through a Paintbrush." I started displaying some of my art in Seattle coffee shops and Galleries. I also taught French and French through art classes in after school programs for the Seattle and Shoreline Public school districts. In 2018, I began working as the Art Teacher for Les Lilas.
In addition to enjoying painting and teaching French, I am a mom of 15 years old twins and a step mom of a 10 and 13 years old.
My name is Michelle Buckley and I am here to provide amazing after school care to your children. Although I do not speak much French (I studied Spanish through high school and a couple of years in college), I am truly looking forward to learning the language as well to provide a fun and creative space for your children to explore after school hours.
For more than 10 years now, I have spent an elaborate amount of time studying the development occurring in early childhood (NB to 8YO) and have an Human Development B. A. and an ECE Certification from Washington State University. I have directed, taught, and created preschool programs within accredited and licenses early childhood programs, especially through the Greater Seattle YMCA, Redmond/Sammamish Boys and Girls Club, and the Northshore School District. Even starting up creative Preschool Programs for a small drop in childcare business in Woodinville.
