My name is Virginie Harroch and I am originally from the French Alps.
I moved to the United States ten years ago.
After graduating with a Masters Degree in Mathematics, I completed my Teacher Certification training in Paris. Having worked in French education for the past 15 years, first as a Math Teacher in Paris, then as a French Kindergarten Teacher at FISW in Bellevue and Pedagogical Coordinator at EFG Seattle; I am very attached to the well-structured French curriculum.
Working with kids from different cultures, languages and nationalities, taught me to understand how important it is to adjust my teaching methods to every child's needs.
I discovered and fell in love with Maria Montessori's pedagogy when my kids joined Chestnut Montessori in Bellevue. Moving forward with my journey as an educator, I completed the Montessori Certification training by the NAMC (North America Montessori Center).
To share my passion and knowledge with children is my lifelong dream and opening Les Lilas, a Kirkland School combining Montessori pedagogy with the French Curriculum, “a place where beautiful minds grow” is my dream becoming fulfilled.

Co-founding Les Lilas was yet a new opportunity to invest my drive and experience in giving back to others. Virginie and I bring the ideal complementary skills and passions for making a difference in children’s lives. Giving to our community and helping with the education of children is truly so rewarding. Our school is built from the heart, which we offer to each and every one of our students. They are amazing and we are blessed to build and grow Les Lilas with their success!
My name is Audrey Mezil, born and raised in France. I was a school teacher for 11 years in France (primarily Cycle 2) and in 2010 I became interested in the Montessori pedagogy to help my son (autism carrier) and to serve my most challenged students with their academic growth. Witnessing the student's progression and involvement in the life of the Montessori class, I eagerly integrated this worthwhile pedagogy and tools into my classroom practice and workshops for all my students. My goal has always been that every child can find his place, to progress and thrive in school and in society.
Along with husband and our two children (7 and 9), we relocated to the United States in September 2014 for a new job adventure for my husband, and I am delighted to find a wonderful opportunity myself to teach at Les Lilas, a school that also matches my dreams in teaching.
Aude is from Lorraine France, a French region next to Germany. After earning her High School Diploma, she studied modern literature at the University of Metz for 3 years. Aude’s first job was as a French Teacher at a college for one year in Lorraine. She then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching in Belgium. Aude taught 5 years in Brussels, where many of her students were not native French speakers. She most recently taught one year at the Francophone Charter School in Oakland, California. Outside of teaching, she loves literature, art, sports and photography.
“Working at Les Lilas is a great opportunity for me. I’m proud and very excited to work in a bilingual Montessori School. Together, with my colleagues, we will do our best that children develop their curiosity, their desire to learn so earn strong skills for their future."

I was born and raised in France, and have had the good fortunate to live in the Seattle area for the past 15 years. I am a caring instructor with 20 years' experience teaching music. I started playing guitar 30+ years ago, and have a passion for many genres of music. My study at the University Francois Rabelais not only gave me a background in music history, choir conducting, classical harmony and music theory, but it also opened my ears to many kinds of music from around the world. I also studied many styles of guitar and jazz harmony at Jazz à Tours. My experiences have given me great tools to teach music and create music ensembles. I have learned to adapt and improvise my ways of teaching per my audience. I am fair and very demanding, as a great work leads to great music.
