Join Les Lilas French Bilingual Community School’s Immersion Summer Camp Program! Our native speaking teachers will bring your children to life with a rich and fun experience while educating your children with our well-rounded, thoughtfully planned programs for all levels.
Camps are open to Les Lilas students and to non-students, beginner and all levels of speakers. Our camps are setup on weekly bases, offering several choices throughout five weeks (June 25-July 27) so you can plan your summer, family calendars.
Our Maternelle Program is open to all potty-trained children or children already exposed to school, Ages 4 - 6.
The Elementary Program is open to all children going into 1st through 5th Grade for the 2018-2019 academic school year.
Campers have the opportunity to participate each week in multiple activities to keep them engaged and enthusiastic, through a combination of fun academic classes to start each day and activities to keep them moving each afternoon. Activities such as: hikes, music, dance, sports, swimming, ping-pong, yoga, ball games, etc…
We also offer a wide range of additional activities and experiences for your child through our 4 Rotating-Workshops! We encourage our campers to make their own choices and have the freedom to try them all.
Station activities such as Bread Making, Dance/Karaoke, Coding, and Fashion.
It’s time to PRETEND & CREATE! This program is designed to awaken children’s imagination and creativity through movement, arts, and music. Children will learn to work together by exploring familiar characters and stories as well as invent their own stories. In addition, they will practice memorizing and teamwork. Children will also create an art exhibit and create the drama stage for the end of the week play.
– On Friday: you are invited to come watch our little performers and view their art exhibit.
Every child will love this program! We will build and design a plane out of popsicles sticks using a Spector Kit, make a Toy Soldier Parachute and build a Marble Roller Coaster. We will also conduct hands experiments to demonstrate the 4 forces of flight: lift, gravity, drag, and propulsion. We will also launch our own rocket, build gliders and watch the Blue Angels practice on a Giant Screen. The students will also meet a real Pilot who will speak to them about flying a plane. These are just a few of the many projects that await your Little Engineers.
– On Friday: Our campers will enjoy a show called "Flying Gizmos" presented by the Museum of Flight where the museum staff will use various toys to demonstrate the four forces of flight.
If your children love watching the television show American Ninja Warrior, this camp is for them! Ninja Camp is filled with activities that will put ninja skills and street smarts to the test. They will learn techniques for unseen movement, practice camouflage with natural materials, learn to safely identify edible and medicinal plants. They will also learn all about North West predators, which include owls, bears, cougars, coyotes, wolves. Children will also track wildlife and other clans, and listen to birds to foresee danger.
In addition, our little campers will follow a high-tech GPS treasure hunt to locate hiding container (geocaches) and during the week we will run training missions, develop a disguise for cover, create and play Ninja board games.
– On Friday: Campers will enjoy a real Ninja park tour class.
Burst into the world of chemistry by creating Les Lilas Mad Lab Show, complete with experiments that will blow your mind. Fun projects will include experiments that will expand their knowledge on electricity, density, chemical reactions, gravity and other fascinating scientific phenomenon.
– On Friday: A specialist from Mad science will be invited to offer a science show for our campers.
We will end our summer camps series with a KERMESSE, campers will spend their week organizing some field games, photo booth, arts walk etc.
We will celebrate with some smore’s, sprinklers and some others fun adventures.
– On Friday: Campers and their families will enjoy the kermesses. There will be games and activities for kids, a great range of international food and drink for all, live music and hopefully a little sunshine!
